Sanrio Puroland Tickets for International Visitors: Prices, Partner Deals, Discounts & Entry Guide

This post may contain affiliate links. If you use them to buy something, I may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.

If you are visiting Sanrio Puroland from overseas, the best way to buy tickets can be quite different from the options commonly used by people in Japan.

When I visited Puroland with my family, I looked into the many available discounts and purchase methods.

But for international visitors, there is no need to work through every Japan-specific deal before booking.

Instead, there are two ticket options that international travelers should check first.

The first is to buy through one of Puroland’s international sales partners, such as Trip.com, KKday, Klook, or Rakuten Travel Experiences.

These tickets can be substantially cheaper than the standard ticket price, and you do not need to make a separate Sanrio+ visit reservation when using an international partner ticket.

The second option is to buy your ticket at the Puroland ticket counter on the day of your visit and use the official ¥200 international visitor discount coupon.

This guide focuses first on these international visitor options, then covers standard ticket prices and other discounts only where they may still be useful for your trip.

The Two Main Ticket Options for International Visitors

How to Buy Sanrio Puroland Tickets at a Discount

For most international visitors, I would start with these two options before looking at the Japan-specific discounts later in this guide.

Option 1: Buy Through an International Sales Partner

Sanrio Puroland’s international visitor information directs travelers to external sales partners for advance tickets.

The main platforms worth comparing include:

The two biggest advantages are simple:

Partner tickets can be much cheaper than Sanrio Puroland’s standard ticket prices.

And just as importantly:

No separate Sanrio+ visit reservation is required when you use an international partner ticket.

Instead of buying a standard ticket and then arranging a separate visit reservation, you can follow the entry instructions provided with your partner ticket.

This makes partner tickets particularly convenient if you are visiting Japan from overseas and want to keep the ticket process simple.

Compare partner ticket prices and book without a separate Sanrio+ visit reservation!

Option 2: Buy at the Ticket Counter with the International Visitor Coupon

If you prefer not to buy your ticket in advance, Puroland also provides an official discount coupon for international visitors.

The coupon gives you ¥200 off the same-day ticket-counter price for a Day Passport or Afternoon Passport.

This option is straightforward: check the official ticket price for your date, bring the relevant coupon, and buy your passport at the ticket counter on the day.

The main advantage is flexibility.

Because you are buying on the day, there is no advance ticket to cancel if your plans change.

That said, partner tickets can be much cheaper, so I would still compare their prices before deciding to pay at the ticket counter.

No Separate Sanrio+ Visit Reservation Is Required

This is another major advantage.

With standard ticket types, Sanrio Puroland generally uses a system where you need both a passport ticket and a separate visit reservation.

International partner tickets do not require that separate Sanrio+ visit reservation.

This removes an extra step that can otherwise involve creating a Sanrio+ account and making a separate reservation after obtaining your ticket.

For an international traveler, that makes the process much easier:

Buy your partner ticket → follow the ticket’s entry instructions → enter Puroland.

Check Child Pricing Before Booking

There is one important downside to check if you are traveling with children.

Some international visitor tickets charge the same fare from age three upward, while Sanrio Puroland’s standard pricing has a separate child category.

So even when the adult partner ticket is very cheap, families should compare the partner price with Puroland’s official child fare before booking everyone together.

Sanrio Puroland Ticket Prices

Sanrio Puroland Ticket Prices

It helps to know Puroland’s standard prices before comparing partner tickets.

Sanrio Puroland uses variable pricing, so the price depends on the date you visit.

Day Passports range from ¥3,900 to ¥6,900 for adults and from ¥2,800 to ¥5,800 for children and seniors.

Afternoon Passports, which allow entry from 2:00 p.m., range from ¥2,800 to ¥4,600 for adults and ¥2,500 to ¥4,300 for children and seniors.

Because prices change by date, always check Puroland’s official schedule before comparing ticket options.

The important point is that the standard price is only a starting point. International visitors may be able to pay considerably less through a sales partner.

Check partner prices for your visit date before paying the standard ticket price.

Buying at the Ticket Counter with the International Visitor Discount

If you would rather decide on the day, the official international visitor coupon provides a simple alternative.

You can use the coupon at the Sanrio Puroland ticket counter to receive ¥200 off the same-day price.

The discount is available for both Day Passports and Afternoon Passports through the relevant coupons.

This route has one practical advantage over buying an advance ticket: you do not need to commit to the purchase beforehand.

If your plans change before your Puroland day, there is no advance ticket to cancel.

However, the ¥200 discount is relatively small compared with some international partner deals, so it is still worth checking the partner prices first.

Other Ticket Options Worth Checking

Other Ways to Buy Tickets for Sanrio Puroland

International partner tickets and the official visitor coupon are the two options I would check first, but they are not the only ways to save.

Depending on your train route, travel date, or circumstances, the following options may also be useful.

Keio Amusement Passport

If you are using the Keio Line, the Keio Amusement Passport is worth comparing.

The listed prices are:

  • Adult: ¥4,460
  • Junior high/high school student or age 17 and under: ¥3,360
  • Child: ¥3,030

The package includes a Sanrio Puroland passport and a one-day unlimited pass for the Keio and Inokashira Lines.

Because the price is fixed, it can become more attractive on dates when Puroland’s regular admission price is high.

The ticket is sold for same-day use and is available from ticket machines at Keio and Inokashira Line stations.

Odakyu EMot Ticket

Odakyu also offers an EMot package combining a round-trip Odakyu ticket with a Sanrio Puroland Day Passport.

The price depends on your departure station.

For example, the listed fares from Shinjuku are:

  • Adult: ¥4,250
  • Junior high/high school student: ¥3,100
  • Child: ¥2,630
  • Senior: ¥3,150

The package includes a Day Passport and round-trip train travel from your departure station to Odakyu Tama Center Station.

Unlike the Keio package, the Odakyu EMot package requires advance purchase, and the available dates can be limited, mainly to weekdays.

An admission-only EMot e-Passport is also ¥200 cheaper than the same-day ticket-counter price.

This option makes the most sense when both the available dates and your train route fit your plans.

Sanrio Shop Fixed-Price Ticket

Sanrio Shops also sell Sanrio Puroland tickets.

The fixed price is ¥4,600 for adults and ¥3,500 for children and seniors, and the ticket is valid for six months from the purchase date.

Because the price is fixed, it can be useful on dates when Puroland’s standard price is high.

However, it is not always cheaper.

On lower-priced dates, the regular Puroland price may cost less.

Compare the Sanrio Shop price with the official price for your planned date before buying.

Official e-Passport

The official Sanrio Puroland e-Passport is another option, although it is less compelling for international visitors than the two main options above.

It is ¥100 cheaper than the same-day ticket-counter price, and the visit reservation is completed when you purchase it.

It can also generally be canceled until 11:59 p.m. on the day before your visit.

However, international visitors can use the official ¥200 ticket-counter coupon, while partner tickets can be much cheaper.

For that reason, I would treat the official e-Passport as a secondary option rather than the first place to look.

Discounts for People Living, Working, or Studying in Japan

The discounts in this section are mainly useful for residents and people who work or study in Japan rather than short-term international visitors.

Regional Discount Campaigns

Sanrio Puroland sometimes runs campaigns for residents of selected regions.

For example, in autumn 2026, Gunma, Ibaraki, Saitama, and Yamanashi were included in a campaign where one child Day Passport was free with the purchase of one adult Day Passport.

For a family of two adults and two children, that meant both child tickets could be free.

Because the standard child fare can be as high as ¥5,800, the saving could exceed ¥10,000 for a family depending on the date.

These offers may require same-day ticket-counter purchase and proof of eligibility.

Tama City Discount

People who live, work, or study in Tama City can also qualify for a local discount.

The discount is ¥600 for adults and ¥300 for children and seniors from the same-day ticket-counter price.

The discount may be increased during certain periods.

Student Pass

Students should also check whether the discounted Gaku Pass is currently on sale.

It is not available throughout the year.

For autumn 2026, it was available through October 31 at ¥500 below the same-day ticket-counter price.

The Afternoon Passport was excluded, advance purchase was required, and the ticket was sold through Asoview.

JAF and Employee Benefit Discounts

JAF members may also have access to a Sanrio Puroland discount.

The standard discount is ¥200, although larger limited-time offers may also be available.

People working in Japan should also check workplace and health-insurance benefit programs.

Sanrio Puroland has corporate and group discount arrangements, and services such as Benefit Station, Relo Club, Club Off, health insurance associations, or employer-specific benefit programs may offer special e-Passport prices.

If you already have access to one of these programs, check it before buying a regular ticket.

Store Coupons and Shareholder Benefits

A photo of a discount coupon for Sanrio Puroland

Paper discount coupons for Sanrio Puroland are sometimes distributed at supermarkets or drugstores.

I personally saw one at a local Create drugstore.

Sanrio shareholder benefits can also include theme park passport tickets that can be used at Sanrio Puroland.

Shareholders with 100 shares receive two e-tickets per year, and the tickets can also be shared with family or friends.

Asoview Tickets for People Who Already Use the Service

Asoview can also be useful, particularly if you already use the service for attractions and activities in Japan.

Asoview sells Sanrio Puroland Day Passports for ¥200 less than the same-day ticket-counter price.

Eligible bookings earn Asoview points based on the purchase amount and other conditions.

ADVICE ADDED

This section is mainly useful if you already qualify for one of these benefits, rather than as something a short-term visitor needs to arrange specifically for Puroland.

Do You Need to Make a Sanrio+ Visit Reservation?

A photo of the ticket booth at Puroland

For most readers of this guide, the answer depends on the type of ticket you choose.

If you buy an international partner ticket, you do not need to make a separate Sanrio+ visit reservation.

This is one of the main reasons partner tickets are particularly convenient for overseas visitors.

Standard ticket types, however, generally use Puroland’s regular system of a passport ticket plus a separate visit reservation.

If you choose a ticket that requires a separate reservation, you will need to create a Sanrio+ account and make the reservation before entering.

How to Make a Sanrio+ Visit Reservation

You can skip this section if you are using an international partner ticket.

If your ticket requires the standard Puroland visit reservation, you will need a Sanrio+ account.

The registration process is straightforward and should take less than five minutes.

Create a Sanrio+ Account

Start from the Sanrio+ registration and login page.

Enter your email address and select the option to create a new account.

Sanrio+ will send a confirmation email to the address you registered.

Open the link in the email to confirm your address, then continue with the account registration.

You will then enter your member information.

After registration, check for the confirmation email and log in to Sanrio+.

On your first login, you will also need to register your My Page information.

After entering the information, agree to the relevant terms and complete the My Page setup.

Make Your Visit Reservation

Once your Sanrio+ account is ready, the actual visit reservation is simple.

Log in using your registered email address and password.

Review the information and complete the visit reservation.

On the day of your visit, open your Sanrio+ My Page and have your visit reservation certificate ready to show at the entrance.

Which Sanrio Puroland Ticket Should International Visitors Choose?

Which Sanrio Puroland Ticket Should International Visitors Choose?

For international travelers, the choices are easier to understand once you separate the main options from the Japan-specific discounts.

For most international visitors, I would start by comparing the official sales partners.

They can offer the two biggest advantages at the same time: a substantially lower ticket price and no separate Sanrio+ visit reservation.

If you prefer not to book in advance, the official ¥200 international visitor coupon at the ticket counter is the simplest alternative.

The other ticket options are still worth knowing about, but they are more situational.
